STOP MODERN DAY SLAVERY

Human trafficking and slavery, also known as modern slavery or neo-slavery, refers to institutional slavery that continues to occur in present-day society. Every day over 46 million men women and children are being held captive or are trafficked against their full will.

24.9 million people are in forced labor, of whom 16 million people are exploited in the private sector such as domestic work, construction or agriculture

while African refugees are being trafficked by the Arab slave trade and sold for $400 on the slave block

4.8 million persons including children are in forced sexual exploitation,

and 4 million persons in forced labor imposed by state authorities. Many inmates in western jails are being forced to labor for pretty much free. Some countries like North Korea, muritania and Eritrea use a large percentage of their population as free laborers. While 90% of Qatar's constructive workforce is made up of a forced migrant population.

15.4 million people are in forced marriage and countless other young children are sold or trafficked as "child brides and grooms"
